The primary goal of the WCDP is to ensure Democrats run for office, and are elected, at the county and state level. The Candidate Recruitment & Support Committee helps recruit and train candidates for office and provide support for their campaigns. Members of the committee need to have their ears to the ground, be aware of community organizations and local politics, and always be on the lookout for out-spoken and qualified Democrats. Members of this committee will also help train candidates and prepare them to set up their campaigns, then once election season begins will help campaigns with voter outreach, persuasion, and Get Out the Vote efforts.
