Welcome!

If you already identify as a Democrat, please consider a donation to support our outreach and work

Dear friend,

Thanks for reaching out. Over the past few weeks, we’ve received many messages from folks like yourself. First and foremost, let me say that I'm so sorry that you've experienced the anger, frustration, and heartbreak many of us have felt. Being a non-Republican in Williamson County and in Tennessee can feel quite lonely. However, don't be fooled by the rhetoric - the data shows us that 35-40% of the county votes Democratic. For the last 20 years, Republicans have had a firm hold, but 4/10 people don't agree with them.

Each day that number grows, and we’re ready to welcome them into the party.

In the past year, our volunteer-based has tripled. We sold out of Biden-Harris signs, placing 700+ across the county. We had poll watchers at every polling place, every day of voting. Since January 2017, the party has grown substantially, but the number of people who stood up and said "enough" in 2020 was amazing (and in spite of a global pandemic). More and more, we're becoming the party of reason and compassion when people see what the GOP is saying and doing.

In 2021, we're staying the course. There are no off years in politics, especially when you're the underdog. Our committees are restarting and planning their activities and roadmaps. We're recruiting candidates to run for local offices in 2021 and state & federal offices in 2022. We're connecting with like-minded groups and hosting FB live events, submitting letters to the editor, emailing weekly newsletters to get folks engaged, and much more. While the Williamson GOP is hosting parties, we're holding voter registration drives (while wearing masks!). It's a great time to get involved and volunteer

In Tennessee, we don’t register by party so it’s easy to get involved - just sign up for our newsletter. If you already receive our newsletter, make a donation. If you ever have questions and would like to chat, reach out! We’re here to help.

In solidarity,

Kelly Baker
